Default Appeal Info

My baby just wrote me and asked if I would look up info on withdrawal of plea, appeal, appointment of new judge/recusal, and stuff like that, and info on the procedures and timelines of how long he has to do everything. Does anyone know where I can find info on this stuff? I'm completely clueless. He is at Putnam CI. Does anyone know anything about that place?? Thanks a lot!!

I dont know anything about Putnam CI but I do know a little about Florida law if you want to PM me what you are after. As for changing a plea, that depends on whats being changed, like a guilty to not guilty they wont accept, but a not guilty to guilty they will, thats just justice for ya

jc'sbaby ~ check out the florida courts webpage (flcourts.org). they should have at least some of the information you seek. also, i would caution you to be very careful as you wind your way through this information. does your friend have an attorney? if items aren't filed in proper formats, or written in proper verbage, they will be ignored by the courts, and that can really screw up any deadlines he may face. ac

Here's the site for the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure. You should find everything you're looking for here I know this is an old post, but I thought it could help everyone!!

Default The appeal info you need...

Hi,
My boyfriend was convicted for a crime he didn't commit. If you still need the info for a florida appeal, it is available at www.fplao.com under "criminal justice". You will see "post conviction corner". The attorney that provided the info, Loren Rhoton, is a state and federal post-conviction attorney. My boyfriend is going to use him as his lawyer to appeal his conviction/excessive sentencing. Drop me a line if you need further info, I am a paralegal student! Good luck!
