Unhappy help I am new and my best friend is in corcoran

My best friend is in corcoran and the last time I recieved a letter was in July and I believe they were on lockdown, but I'm not sure. I have been getting real worried because he hasnt written and thats not like him. I called the inmate locator # and they told me he went to court in riverside. I called there and they said he just went back to state. Does anybody know if he will go back to the same place or if he will go somewhere else. Is it also possible that he was on lockdown then went to court (I dont know how long they go to court)and thats a possibility of why I havent heard from him? I hope I make sense I am new at all of this. Any help would be great. Thanks so much

Hello and welcome to PTO! My boyfriend went OTC from CIM (Chino) to Riverside and it took nearly 7 weeks, and that's local. OTC dates would vary depending on the type of hearing. For instance, my boyfriend was out for Family Court (a one day process) and yet the 'trip' took 42 days. Each time he's ever went OTC, he has always returned to the same facility and I assume that's fairly customary!? Also, even if the facility is on lockdown, your friend would still be able to write. My suggestion is to call the Inmate Locater # and get his current mailing address - send him a letter and wait for a reply. Good luck to you!
