Hi there, did your son get sentenced to do his time at Alhambra? Because it is the intake unit where inmates start and then are usually moved to other yards to do their time. But I have heard that some inmates who are only serving a short amount of time can actually serve their sentence there.
Whew! Found where they moved me!
My son is just there like most for the assessment process. I've had a couple of PTO people tell me it is worse than the prisons you are sent to, even though you're there only briefly. So, I just wanted to know what the real deal was. Thanks.
My fiance didnt tell me that it was worse but he doesnt like ot tell me about inside, I do know that they are there for about 3-10 days, No calls but they do give them some paper and stamps to write. I wouldnt doubt that it would be worse than prison, I am pretty sure that it is 23 hour lock down there too but not positive. You will be able to see when he arrives there an when they transport him to a prison on the ADOC inmate datasearch page.

When my husband was in Alhambra, he was only there for a week but I've heard they are sometimes there for up to 30 days. I know you can write them there, but depending on how long he's there, he may not even get it (though it would follow him) before he moves to a yard. I would just keep checking the DOC website and whenever he moves, call the complex he's at and get the address and everything. Hopefully you'll hear from him soon!
