I’ve only been to Harris County Jail visitation once, this past Monday. I went to 710 N. San Jacinto. The line for really wasn’t bad. But now I’m going to go Saturday morning. I’m not going Sunday, it’s father’s day and I’m afraid that lobby will be packed. Anyway, has anyone been to Harris County at 8:00am or 9:00am on a Saturday morning before? Was it ridiculously crowded? Should I wait till the evening? I know they can’t tell you when transfers to State Jail will take place and I really would like to see him again, even if it is through something like a movie theater speaker thing, but he can’t hear you anyway unless you yell. So by the time you leave, everyone knows your business…because you’ve been yelling so your loved one can hear you. But it’s worth it, just to see his face. Thanks for your help.
Hi Michelle ~ I haven't visited 710 Baker but too many times at 1200 B. I would usually go on the weekend between 8:15 -8:30. Occasionally there was a bit of a line but once I got to my sons floor there were few and much easier to hear each other. His g/friend would go later in the evening about an hour before visits ended as she said it was about the same - fewer people on the floor even if she had to wait in line.
Hope this helps some!
Janice

I had a friend who was there earlier this year (I used to take his girlfriend because she didn't have a car) and we would be there bright and early Saturday mornings. There was barely ANY line at all. The only hang up sometimes would be that count didn't clear yet but it was always easier to hear first thing in the morning. Have a good visit.
At 1200 Baker, the lines were really long on Friday evenings, kinda busy on Saturday morning, not busy at all on Saturday night. Sundays are busy with people who come from out of town.
I'm not sure about 701 but its probably about the same.
