Angry Help regarding CSR...

My fiance is in NKSP reception. He has been there for 4 1/2 months. He first met with his counselor over 3 months ago. I called his counselor to see what the delay was and why he hadnt been transferred yet. The counselor informed me that he didnt have any 'holds' and that it was just a matter of 'time'. The counselor then met with my fiance again and told him that his file was 'somewhere' in / with CSR and that they couldnt locate it and that it would, at some point, show back up on his desk. So, as far as I am concerned, it sounds like his file is lost and floating around somewhere. Should I be about this and should I be calling to get some answers? Any advise?

I didnt know it had been that long for you too! Were you also told 30 days max like we were? LOL I am starting to learn that the correctional system has a completely different interpretation of 'time'. Yes, Aliferzwife has been VERY helpful through all of this. Thanks for the feedback and good luck to you too! We should have a little contest at this point and see whos guy gets mainlined first! LOL

LOL!! For real...make it interesting LOL!! The last time I spoke to his couselor she said that it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months depending on their level and bedspace. I'm going up this weekend so hopefully he tells me he's on Fridays list. My husband said they have been doing a lot of add ons too. I'll keep you posted babe and please do the same. = )

Sorry you are upset, but 4 1/2 months is not unheard of. I've heard of guys being in reception for a year due to lost paperwork/files. Hopefully they will find his file. I'd stay on the counselor so your guy's name stays in his head and he doesn't just forget about him.

My hubby was in reception at HDSP for just over 4 months and that was 3 years ago and they hadn't lost any of his paperwork. Crap just happens and there are SOOO many inmates. Best advice I can give is to call his counselor on a regular basis (not daily, more like weekly).

Good luck - I hope they move him soon, Hon.

Always - Good luck this weekend! I hope your husband has good news!!! I"ll keep my fingers crossed! I am going up to see my fiance on the 21st, so we will see.

Aliferzwife - Thanks for the info! I cant believe it can take up to a year. They dangle the 30-day carrot in front of us, but, as you learn with this system, dont count on anything!

Well, it only took that long because they lost his file! The average time in reception these days if all goes well is 90-120. Usually they will see their counselor within about 60-90 days and then it's another 30 days or so many times before they are transferred. It's really hard to be real specific.
