Default FL Canteen has been taken over by Keefe! ~*~ New List Available ~*~

Florida DOC's canteen has been taken over by Keefe Commissary Network. I received a new price list and you can view it here: http://mysite.verizon.net/vze2x4cx/s...fe-canteen.jpg

I assume this list is valid for all of Florida because my friend marked items that death row inmates are not allowed to buy with an asterisk.

Phil - yes they still have honey buns for 57¢ so Joey will still be happy!

Thanks for sharing the list Michelle !! Joey wrote me about the changing, but he didn't know the name of the new company.

Gosh, those new honey buns are frightfully expensive !!! They cost only 52 cents before !!! Poor Joey, he will have to go on a diet, or I'll have to send him more money !! Well, maybe he could lose some weight !!

Thanks Michelle!

I'm confused though, it says entrees...where are they though? I always thought that an emtree was something that needed to be eaten with a fork and put on a plate. Unless of course beef and cheese sticks or canned fish count...my mistake... hoe dare I

I hear ya Bella! They should reword the heading to read, "Oatmeal & Snacks."

Hasn't changed at Charlie's facility (Madison CI Work Camp), but he mentioned they were getting ready to make a change. He's stocking up on ramen now, rumor has it that the new company will be stocking the ramen in a cup - smaller and more expensive. Our poor babies and their "food" - LOL

The photo tickets are cheaper, $2,06 instead of $2,50 Bella, the soups are more expensive, so M. will pay back his debt on the Yankees bet quicker !!

Will Keefe also provide the food and drinks for the vending machines in the visiting room, or will it still be Aramak ??

JCsBaby, I "think" (not 100 % sure) there are microwave ovens in the chow hall.

Tickets they buy so they can have their picture taken. Or, like Phil says below - for you both at visits.

Photo tickets are what you have to pay for when you wanna have a pic taken with your honey at visit.

Yep he's right, you can go to the canteen and buy your frozen stuff and heat it up then. My poor baby is on CM status so he can't get all that stuff. Plus no lotion, chapstick, conditioner etc. Anything that they could use to lube themselves up to make it hard for the CO's to grab them if they have to be restrained. Poor Travis is addicted to chapstick too! Oh well, November 04 and he should be back in open compound...hopefully!
