Ricklee...

Is your son in one of the prisons yet? I would not start a subscription for him if he is still in Coffee Creek. I order my husbands subscriptions from Amazon. I like ordering from them because if he was to be moved I just let them know the change of address and then they will change all 6 or 8 subscriptions for me instead of me having to get in contact with each of the magazines myself. I order him things like Playboy (the only girlie magazine they are allowed), Mt. Biking, Travel, Honda Tuner, Import Tuner and so on...

What are his interests? You can also order him books from Amazon and then I have the local newspaper sent to him daily and he really loves that. It keeps him in touch with what is going on around here and sometimes he tells me things about the town we live in and I didn't even know about it!

There are also puzzle books you can send him.

Good luck!
Dawn

My husband loves his magazines! You can call the prison or jail he is at and ask what restrictions they have re:mail. I too order most of his mags from amazon.com. They have good prices and are accepted as being received from the publishers.

There are so many magazines they can have that it's easier to say what they are not allowed: The Source (a political hip hop magazine), anything to do with hunting or guns. Your son probably has a good idea of what subscriptions he would like to get. There are so many to choose from that I usually ley my guy pick.
