Smile Who has a loved one at Two Rivers?

Just thought I'd see who all has someone close locked up there. I would like to keep in touch with people in the same situation, that way if something happens at the prison (like the recent happenings of SRCI and EOCI) we can all keep eachother updated about what we hear!

What do ya think?

My hubby is over at Two Rivers. I hate the thought of something happening there like at the other two. I am always looking on here when he is late calling, I like the idea of us all sharing that kind of information. I talk to my hubby every night so if anything happens I will be on here. Feel free to IM me or message me any time.
Blessings Always!

I talk to my guy almost every night as well, so I know I'll be quick to jump on here and update everyone!

Hopefully we can get more people together in this, so that we all get news from different sources.

I'm headed out there on the 19th [a 4 hour drive...what fun], and I keep telling him to stay in his cell till then so that if anything happens, he's in the clear. I just dread the thought of the violene spreading over that way because of the recent issues. I know he's told me they're all abuzz in his unit over the whole thing from SRCI... especially since a lot of their friends have been transferred there lately.

Also, feel free to msg me any time. I'm always down to chit-chat.

I have not been on here in awhile but can someone fill me in on the issues at the other prision that you are referring too????

My hubby is at Two Rivers and has been for a year now - Knock on wood, there has not been no problems. I know at Christmas time they were locked down (all of them) because of fights breaking out but a lot of that has to do with it just being the holiday. Since then it has settle down again.

Oh, there was a big ordeal at SRCI on Sunday. About 120 inmates in all. One ended up getting shot by a CO up in a guard tower. They're on lockdown still, and several guys had to go to the hospital. Then a few hours later, there was another big fight at EOCI involving about 50 more inmates. Scary stuff!! Here are some posts about it: http://prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=328347

I try to always help keep people informed. My husband is at TRCI, too. He TRIES to avoid fights but lately he said it has been SO CLOSE! The other night a fight against 2 inmates broke out and they both went to the hole because they didn't immediately stop fighting when they were ordered to.

Yeah, tensions are high right now with all the fights that have been going on in the other prisons. It spreads like wildfire. I just hope nothing too big happens at TRCI anytime soon. I don't want my man going to the hole!

I have someone at TRCI. He is in unit 7. He has been there for 2 weeks now. The medical care sucks. He thinks he broke his ankle playing basketball. 9 days ago he went to the doctor and they said they cant xray it until tuesday. they didn't get to him until wednesday for the xray. They gave him crutches that were taken away from him a few days later. It is now 9 days later and he still doesn't have an xray report and no crutches. I

That's horrible, I am so sorry that he has to go through that!

Mine is in Unit 14...

If you have his counselors number, I'd give him a call and see what you can do about speeding up this medical crap. Just because they're inmates doesn't mean they don't have rights!

That is inhumane! I am so sorry he is going through that. I thought they had to give them basic medical treatment in a timley manor. I'snt there a bord or some group that oversee's the right of prisoners? Does any one know?

Well, I was going to keep quiet on this because I don't know the facts of what they will do on dental care. But, seeing as how no-one else responded, I will try taking a shot in the dark --OUTOFSTATE MOM. I think they will let you put money in a special account for medical, like with when the guys need glasses. I would recommend you get ahold of someone in Salem overseeing the medical stuff and ask. I will look up the name and number of the person for you, and send it to you in a pm (private message).
