You CAN'T have a camera or any other type of recording device at any corrections facility! The only way to get a current picture of an inmate is if they have one taken at a visit, by the in-house photographer. No-one else ever ever ever gets to take pictures inside.
As for talking to him, well, do a google for New York Department of Corrections and you'll be able to get his DIN, and you'll also be able to find the address of his facility. Then write him and ask him to put you on his phone contact list. You can't call him, he has to call you, and you have to already have MCI as your phone carrier, or you have to call them to set up an account, and pre-pay for the first $50 or so of calls.
THEN you can talk to him!!
Good Luck, Pam
YOU CAN BUY PICTURES AT COMMISARY THEN YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT A FORM SO THEY PUT YOU ON A CALL OUT LIST, NOW THE CATCH IS THAT PICTURES ARE ONLY TAKEN WED. THUR SO TRY TO IMAGINE HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR THERE PICTURE TO GET TAKEN!
Hello and welcome to PTO,
Yes, go to www.docs.state.ny.us/ that is the website for the NYS Dept of corrections. Put his name in and you will be able to get his info. Such as his DIN # which you're going to need, because in jail, they are not know by name, but by number. You'll be able to see what facility he's in (oh my bad, you already know), you can get the address & phone number to the facility and you can see his charges, his sentance, his parole hearing date (if there is one) his C.R. date, etc. Then we can take care of the rest here. As far as the 411 on the visits and packages and stuff. Hope that helps.
