Phones - The phone calls are NOT limited as far as how many times they can call. The phones do shut off throughout the day. Like near count, and chow, they'll cut them off for an hour. They cut off at 10:30 pm and on sometime around 7-8 am. Hun is never up that early so I'm not really sure.
Visits - Visits are in a large visitation room. You have little tables with his chair on one side and yours directly across from him. The tables go straight to the floor, so no footsies . You walk in the front door, sign in, show your id, and go through the metal detector. Then out the door, down the sidewalk, into the main building. You wait in that room until they open the automatic door. You herd in there and wait for them to close it behind you, then they open the door in the visition room. You show ID again (until they get to know you) and they tell you what table you have. Yes, there are assigned seats. You go sit down, then the doors open and inmates come in. You have 2 hours, no more, so be on time. You need to call at least 7 days before your visit. You have to make an appointment and they fill up quickly. You have up to 14 days to make the appointment, so do it as soon as you can.
Any other questions right now? I know you will have others later.

My fiancee is being transferred there soon. Any information on there, such as phone call availability and visitation??
My boyfriend is at Maury right now. It seems to be an ok place. Visitation is Monday thru Saturday 9-11 or 2-4. And you have to call at least a week ahead and make an appointment. They can use the phone from 7am until 1030 at night 7 days a week. Stay in contact with me if you have anymore questions.
My fiancee is at Maury and for a state to state call with GTL it is quite expensive for a 10 minute call!I figured it to be about $14.00! That's from NC to OH
Hi there! You may want to check out the forum on NC Prison Phones...it can be very expensive for out of state call, but look through some of the posts on there and you will find a lot of useful information. If you have any questions though, feel free to send me a PM! Welcome!
