Default Question about different custody levels

my fiance is in the rynning unit at aspc eyman, custody level 4. he recently wrote to me and asked me if i would rather him be at a custody level 3, but what are the differences between the custody levels? and if he moves to 3 will he have to move to a different prison complex?

NoRegrets26...

A 3 yard is better they get more REC time among many other benefits. I wanted my guy to stay at Rynning (4yard) because I loved there visits but now that he has moved to a (3yard) I'm even more happy. This is going to be a more positive thing for him. With more freedoms and more opportunities to better himself I'm really happy he made it down to a 3 yard.

Moving......He moved and I was really scared about that but it's ok..change is good...even if it doesn't seem like it at first.

I would push him to a more positive direction. A yard 4 has much more drama girl...and it's more hardcore than a 3.

Moving from a 4 yard to 3 is definitely a plus! My inmate was moved down to a 3 yard and he says it's so much more relaxed.

A 3 yard is a better move...problem is...is that there are 3 yards all over AZ so you'll never know where he'll go...seems like they are moving a lot of guys to Lewis...maybe he will get moved to Stiner!! With us! If you look on the DOC web site you can see how he is classified if his score is a 4/1 he might be getting reclassed to a 3 yard..if it's a 4/2 he'll probably stay on a 4 yard. 3/3 he will definantly be going to a 3 yard. If I'm correct on how reclass works...it may have changed...check the DOC web site (it may not even show anything if he hasn't been in long it takes a while for that to be updated and some times it's not even correct-... I've called reclass before at the DOC central administration and they've ususally got pretty up to date info...they won't tell you where he's going if he's in transit but they will if he's arrived within a 48 hour time frame.
