Limit on boots

hi everyone.

I want to bring my boyfriend a pair of timberland boots, i know the limit on them should be $50 but he just wrote me and told me that it must also include the tax as well. So can the reciept show $50 dollars plus the tax which will make it about $60 dollars in total. What do i do? And i also wanted to know if i could purchase boots from ebay and send them to him

Hi, Before you buy the boots, check with the facility to see if they allow Timbs. Some facilities don't allow Timbs b/c they know they don't cost 50 bucks. Where my man is, they don't let them in even with the 50 dollar receipt. Also, don't get them with ebay, they won't allow it, you need a store computer print out receipt. They really don't allow written ones, unless the jail he is in is not strict. Also...FYI... some Timbs have metal shanks in them... The total has to be 50 bucks including the tax...

gowanda does not allow Timbs either.

Thankyou for the information, there allowed to wear timbs from what i noticed, almost all the inmates on the visits wear them, he already has a pair.He's in GreenHaven. You can get timbs for 50 bucks you have to catch them when the have a sale at Footlocker or something when they have a buy 1 get the other 50% off

just ask the guy in the store to write you up a receipt and tell him your situation....everyone i have asked has been very accomodating

Gowanda allows Timbs. I seen about 3 people bring them there last weekend and they went in with no problem. Actuallly, one girl had to take them back because they had a metal shank in them. But the other two went in with no problem.

I wouldn't get a reciept written up from someone if you didn't actually pay that price. I know for a fact that they call the store or the store's district manager to confirm the price if they feel it's the least bit suspicious.
If it doesn't prove out, they not only won't let the items in, but they can write the inmate up.
If you are having any doubts as to what they will accept, call the package receiving room in that CF.

To be safe....stick with a catalog, unless you can get a pair legite for under $50. Also, be sure to inquire about the shank. If there is one....take it to a shoe place and have it removed.

YES MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS LEGITE CAUSE MOST OF THE C.O.S ARE MORE THEN HAPPY TO MAKE YOU TAKE STUFF BACK WITH YOU MISARY LOVES COMPANY AND THERE ARE SOME MISARABLE C.O.S UP THERE I WOULD SAY ABOUT 85% OF THEM!
