2. How long did the whole process take
3. Did you have to find your own minister
4. Were you allowed any flowers or disposable camera
5. How many guests were allowed to be there
6. What was the process to get the marriage license

I got married on Dec,12.03 and it was nothing that I thought it would be. Actually it was really nice but I guess I had a good minister and the words he used was so meaningful and he asked if we wanted to speak and say the vows or just I DO
I chose to say the vows and it was so unreal that as I said them I looked in my babies eyes the whole time even when he said his, he even had a tear. I've been with my man for almost 20 years and this is what it came down to getting married in prison. But to me it doen't matter because I love him in or out and will always be here for him forever . He's mybabe my lover my best friend my soul mate hes my everything. There were 2 other couples that got married the same day.One after another it was really nice they took 2 pictures of us and I'm waiting for my baby to send them to me but I guess he hasn't gotten them yet but I will find out tomorrow.

Great link!! Thanks so much; I too have been looking for some concrete information. Question: when the wedding actually takes place is this in a seperate, "private" location in the prison or are there numerous people around? Also who acts as the witnesses? Is it prison staff, a person within the prison, or can it be someone from the outside who's on the inmates list?

Another quick question, is pre-marriage counseling available? Tazi you may be able to answer this better because I'm particulaurly asking about the Edgefield FCI. Does it have to be done with the prison chaplain or can it be performed by your own personal minister?

Default Got married in Pine Knot,KY @ USP McCreary Federal Prison Camp

Hello everyone,
My name is Mrs Wallace and I recently married the love of my life at the USP McCreary Federal Prison Camp in Pine Knot, Kentucky on October 20, 2006. The chaplain informed the married parties that we were not allowed to bring no more than three addtional people with them, but all in all it was a beautiful ceremony. This was the best day of my life. They allowed the inmates to come out at least thirty minutes before the ceremony began. There were three couples in all and the Wedding was on a Friday. The blessing was that we got to spend about two hours with our love one on a none visitation day. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. Again it was my special day to married the man of my dreams. This is one day that the CO's were very kind and respectful.
