Default Which Prisons are asking People to do Live Scans?

Hello,

I read that in Oct 2007 the DoJ isnt letting go your Criminal Record unless you come in and do a Live Scan to prove its really you ..

What Prisons are asking for Live Scans out there ..

and What are your thoughts on it .. I mean what better way to get into visiting then to submit your complete Record along with your visiting form. I mean it will match exactly to what the C/O is reading when they do your Background.

Thanks,
Hidenaway

No specific facilities are requiring this- it's just an option that's available if you can't otherwise adequately document your criminal history or, in some cases, lack of criminal history.

How do you document your lack of criminal history? And what's a scan?

A scan is the process of electronically recording your fingerprints. It's thought to be more accurate than the ink and roll method.

The only time you'd need to demonstate the lack of a criminal history is if your name was either a match to someone with a criminal history and you get rejected over it, or if your name was misused and that caused your identity to be muddied unfairly- unless your 106 gets refused for failure to disclose events that you know nothing about, it's kind of a waste of time and money to get your DoJ file if you have no record.
