Unhappy Snake River Hospice ?

Hi I am looking for info about the snake river hospice. My Uncle whom is 61 years old has cirrhosis and diabetes, when they treat the diabetes they cannot treat the cirrhosis. The ammonia levels in his body soar and this makes him talk nonsense and basically leaves him out of sorts. He sat in the wrong seat, and was viciously attacked. His body couldn't withstand the trauma and has since been placed in the hospice. I don't understand why this happened. The pod he is in he has been in for several years. The other inmates have also been there for a long time. Everyone knows his medical issues. He is the most gentle man. He is doing 16 years for 3 counts of attempted murder because he shot up a fireplace. nobody was hurt and he had no priors. He was given he stiffest sentence the judge could impose. It doesn't matter now because he is dying. i just wanted to know if he is in good hands and if the hospice is a decent place. Something to ease my heart. Thank You and god bless our loved ones.

I don't know about the Snake River Hospice but I've read about hospice care at OSP and there are some very caring inmates chosen to work in there and who consider it a privilege to help out those who are very ill and dying. I'm so sorry to hear that your uncle is there but everything I've read would lead me to believe he's being treated with dignity. Z.
