Default Capias Warrants in Harris County Jail - Texas

Okay, my dh was sentenced to a mere ten days in Harris County today but when I was driving home I remembered he's got $1200 worth of capias warrants in another city closeby.

Will they pick him up to serve the time from Harris? The ten days was a Condition of Probation for Harris. But will he come home after ten days?

It really depends on the county that has the warrants. If they know that he is harris county right now they could put a hold on him. If they don't pick up on it then he will still have to deal with them when he is released.
IMO this maybe a good time for him to settle all warrants.
Bad side is that if he doesnt open up about them then it may cost him more when it comes to his probation. Best to get them taken care of right away.

Is there anyway I could find out how many and how much the warrants are? If they aren't as bad as he says I can take care of some of them but he doesn't even remember the information I need

Is there a phone number or web site I could look all this up for?

If they are just failures to appear and traffic tickets then I think that you'll have to call the (each?) municipality that has the warrants and talk to them. Hopefully they are all from the same place so you don't have to hunt all over.

If they are capis, that means they are fine only and are not bondable, he must pay the money or serve time for them. After the 10 days if they havent been paid and the hold released he will be placed on conditional release at harris county. this means the agency with the class c hold has usually 24 hours to pick him up or they will cut him loose anyway. Just remember if they never pick him up and he is released, more than likely the city will just re-enter the city warrants in the regional system and he will be wanted once again.
