Default FCC--Pollock - thread closed 7/9/2013

I just found out that Pollock is on lockdown as of last Thursday, Nov. 15th. Two inmates died after a fight. I'm not sure how long this one is going to be, last April it lasted a whole month.

Thank you for posting this. We've been worried about my brother but we hope he'll call anytime now. He was short on funds before this happened, but we sent a little something a week ago. Do you know if they let him have it during lockdown or until afterwards? Maybe they'll make him wait until Monday. I still don't know how these things work but any info would be appreciated. Thanks again!

are you sure it is over? I called Friday night and the recording said they were still on lockdown and all visits cancelled. I hope this is right. That place is getting worse all the time.

Finally got a call from my brother Sunday night. Seemed a little sadder than usual I guess the lockdown was making his time even harder. Then with the holidays its even worse. I tried to cheer him up a little telling him about the cool gifts were buying for his kids. It seemed to help.

They got out of lockdown this past Thurs. (Nov.29) My boyfriend called me to let me know he was alright. Rage: He tells me that at the beginning of the month, the phone minutes start all over again, and therefore they always have a long line to the phones. I'm stilling learning stuff too. This website has been real helpful for me, just being able to share and talk to someone means alot to me. I'm glad you were able to talk to your brother!

I'm glad to hear that the lockdown is over; seems to have been for about two weeks, huh? I haven't heard from Scott yet though. This is the first time he hasn't called after a lockdown and he's been gone for three years. I know the lines are long at the first of the month but you'd think he could manage to make at least one call!!! With the holidays coming, I know it is much more depressing that only makes me worry more. I miss him and can't wait to see him again. He got his visits taken away for two years and we have another five months to go before I can visit again. I hope all of you can see your loved one's, especially at the holidays.

I don't know if this is the reason or not for Scott not calling, but the phones there have been mess'en up real bad. My boyfriend and I have been cut off several times, and he says it's been happening to everybody. The phones are currently being replaced, and no one can call out this week.....Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. (Dec. 11th thru 13th) I hope he calls you when they come back on.

Thanks a lot for the information. I've been kinda bummed out not hearing from him. More than anything, I worry about how he is dealing with things and his general well-being. I know being in there can mess with your head and when they cut themselves off from home and loved ones, it only makes matters worse. Again, I really appreciate the information. I'll let you know when I finally hear from him!! Take care.

I finally got a card in the mail from Scott. He put in a very brief note explaining (somewhat) that there is a new warden there. He said this one seems to be lockdown happy! He also said that his points have been reduced and he will be transferring to a medium security prison. I really wish he would have given some more details. I have to write and let him know that I put money on his account becuase he thinks he is broke and has not called. I miss hearing his voice!! Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful people here on PTO!

If he hasn't called and says he is transferring, he may be in the hole and can't call.

I looked on the web, and found an article saying someone died this past Friday night. It didn't say anything about a fight, but that they've been on lockdown since Friday. I'll post a note as soon as I find out more. (I usually here from my man on Monday or Tuesday nights)
