Actually turns out that it is not free cards. You must buy a membership first; perhaps the first five are free after that.
I made a frog of origami last night. It was hella fun. So I made a printed out a bunch of psychedelic froggy patterns and sent them to some of my friends. I will attach them. the very last pic shows me about to tap teh frog, ha ha. if you do it quick and light, he will hop.
If your friend wanted to make more froggies, all he needs to do is draw the lines on a paper and fold it<he can color it himself. and i know they know how to make really good colors from anti-perspirant and magazines.

beep beep..and i am being told i cannot post URLs until i have 25 posts.. well too bad, i know y'all want this addy, so it is tammyyee dot com and you can also add /origamifrog.html in order to go directly to the instructions.
go there and use the printer symbol on your tool bar. after the first sheet with the nothing stuff prints on it, then use the next sheet to print on both sides and the instructions will fit perfect on the single sheet.

I sent my man an online survey type thing of all kinds of "About Me" questions...it was a lot of fun, especially for those that are just starting off as pen pals. I got to know alot about him....you can always change the questions up and add many more. It's fun for both of you to answer.

black or blue paper and silver or white ink... add some snow banks at the bottom and snowflakes throughout the body of the letter- maybe even a snowman. make it a shorter letter- it gets annoying to read after like 4-5 pages! but it's stunning to look at!
Battman has been home about three years...
OFF PAROLE IN 4 DAYS 12/21/11!
ok...my problem is that his facility will not except anything but letters. no packages...no books...so what to do for him for Christmas? he would say just send money...lol...but i want something special to send....HELLLLPPPP!!!!
Make an advent calendar. Draw a festive picture on a piece of white paper. Put another white piece of paper under the drawn one and cut 24 tabs onto the picture. Draw 24 holiday related pictures under each tab.

I send my guy alot of post cards.
Lately i started making my own-
I buy 4x6 blank recipe cards and print his address on one side and on the other I add pic's, poems, quotes, everything and anything I can think of.
I do alot of cut & paste with the computer than print them out.
It passes time for me, gives him wallpaper to add to his cell and he loves them.
I have also been sending alot of stuff about his Chinese sign, his Birth sign and his Numerology information.
For Christmas ideas- I am making a book of poems, Called the Book of T-
I printed them onto a piece of plain stationary and bound it with handmade paper and basic yarn-
also making a paper-quilt
where I take 2 inch note pad squares and print little love notes, and sily stickman pictures and sayings. I tape them together into a big quilt like contraption- using coloured tape... (I am into quilting, and I can't send him anything but paper- so I have to get creative.)
Also I am a painter- so I am working on a paper painting where I am putting my idea onto tissue paper with a printed poem to go along with it..
Using acrylic paint, on tissue paper with ink from a printer- its about 9x14 and technicallyits just paper- so there is no way the guards can bounce it!
an envelope full of Chinese fortune Cookie fortunes-
I am calling it Kat's Fortune a Day- so whenever he's blue he can pull one out...
you can find them online everywhere and copy and print them out-
i copy them into a 6 point font and fill a sheet with them and cut them out and stick em in an envelope-
When the first snow hit- i sent him an envelope full of homemade paper snowflakes-I am still waiting to see what he thought of them.. there were about 25 of them- I had my nieces and nephews help me make them up one morning and folded them up and sent them with no letter-
He's in a place where they say only paper-
no magazines, no cloth, nothing beyond photo's
so i have to get creative with paper...
Also- any and all gifts had to be in the prison within the first 90 days of his being sent there... so paper gifts it ahs to be..
Another Christmas gift I am working on
is altered playing cards-
I am gluing fortunes cookie fortunes onto them, that go into little poems
using the Queen of Hearts, the Aces, etc..
technically its paper, so hoping they will get thru the guards..
If I remember when they are done, befroe I send them off I will download them to show you all..
Also, for wrapping paper-
Every thing gets read at his prison, so its easier to make envelopes out of wrapping paper and just fold the flap closed- so they can't say I am sending him gifts- even though -technically- I am...

Is there a thread just for Christmas mail ideas that someone might point me to? I tried the forum search function but didn't find much grouped in one place.
I would like to do something on the 12 Days of Christmas, maybe send something so he can make his own 3-D origami Christmas tree, or I'd really like to come up with an idea to make some kind of smallish tree that could be connected, front and back and stuffed somehow, maybe with tissue. Something small that would stand on its own on his shelf. Then I could send different flat paper ornaments in my letters to be "hung" on his tree during the month.
Is anyone thinking along these lines? Any ideas? Thanks!
I just finished all my Christmas shopping this afternoon
and 8 hours alter I am broke ass busted
I came up with a great gift idea I don't have to make!
Magic Cards YuGi Oh Cards
and various other trading cards...
My guy loves hockey (It's Canada!!)
so I got 4 packs of Hockey cards with about 5 or 6 cards in each...
they are perfect-
they can be mailed-
they have a little plastic-fake foil wrapper the guards can open and leave on so I don't have to wrap them up..
and they are relatively cheap!!!
There is an artist online named Scott Blake.
He has perfected the art of the barcode.
Recently I came across his site, and one of his things is sending out postcard portraits made entirely using Barcodes.
He has one of Jesus, there is an Elvis, a Madonna, a Marilyn Monroe- all kinds of famous people he did.
He is willing to send one free postcard to anywhere at his expense.
I had emailed him and asked for one for myself, while I was at it, I asked if he would send a Feminine one to T, and gave him the address.
His response, was thanks for the request, yes I have sent a Madonna Barcode Art postcard to T, and your Jesus Barcode is onthe way...
Well as all of you know all you want to do is make your inmate smile and think of you more and more! I have been sending him letters 3 to 4 times a week but in them I always include pictures, poems, lil misc. stuff. but he always lets me know they make him smile. I am just running out of ideas. The last thing I did was write down a song that we both liked and took pictures of me singing the song. Does any one have any new and exciting things to do? I am willing to get creative
