Cool Money & Mail

I have a few questions as I am new to the PTO.

Do they open all mail in the max. prisons? (CCF)

I sent a money order (USPS) over $100 dollars and for some
reason I felt it was safer I send a personal check (citibank) but I know it takes 15 days to clear or so and I wanted my Dad to have the money asap.

Any advice or suggestions.

Thanks.
Jazzy

First of all, let me welcome you to PTO!!
Now, as far as mail and money goes, yes! all incoming mail is opened. The few times i sent money in to my botfriend, i always do it my postal M.O because it's effective the same day, where as it does take 15 days for a check to clear. But whatever you feel most comfortable with doing, is fine. Just keep in mind that mo's are good as cash. ok

Thanks... I sent a postal money order so...

but are they limits to how much you can send?

Western Union, I am going to check that out.

Will the allow you to send a photo album through a vendor like Amazon, so he can put the pictures I send him in?
I am going to Prague soon, and I like to send him pictures of the castles.... but I would like that he can put them in an album.

Silly questions, but I rather ask you then call CCF.

HMMm i never heard of the western union quick collect but it sounds like something worth finding out about.

Photo albums are not allowed! they have to buy them in comissary. They are very inexpensive, but u can send the pictures though.

I am not sure how much money u can send to put on thier books but i thought it was up to like $500-$1000 but really, who needs that much money in prison you know. Plus that puts up a red flag within the prison itself because it makes them think real dumb crap.
