PB "A" Yard Question

Is anyone framiliar with A yard? I know my friend was in Ad Seg for awhile but when I called the prison they gave me A127 now. I was wondering if that was general population or not.

I believe it is GP. My ex is in A Gym (same thing?) after getting out of Ad Seg and it is GP,he is a Level 2. His is an A # with a bunk letter L for lower

The A stands for A yard, and that is Gen. Population. It is a recieving yard. Every one who gets out of Adseg has to go through classification again, their points go up so they have to be reclassified. Then they'll leave A yard.
