what to expect ?.....

has anyone visited pelican bay level four? or acyually im intrested in hearing about any expirences at pb .... are they really strict is it non contact /contact can you take oictures there ....... im going at the end of october so i wanna hear everything

If you are talking about the SHU yes it is strict but they have alway been very polite to me and my family. Visiting is through glass only and no cameras can be taken in. If you are polite to them I have found that they will go out of their way to help you. Love Barb

I agree with Barbara, I have never had any trouble there before and they went out of their way to get me double visits for more than 1 weekend because I have come so far and as far as I knew you could only get them extended for 1 weekend.

When I got married there one of the CO’s even had a joke with me the next day asking how married life was, I honestly believe it wasn’t sarcasm. They always make me chat away as well because of my darn accent!!!

Just make sure you stick with the correct dress code and you will be fine, have a great visit!

Hi Joanna do you know the name of the officer over at the SHU? He has been so nice to me and my family. I can't believe I forgot his name I think he really is a caring person. Love Barb

No sorry I cant remember either, the one I get on with is the guy that normally drives the bus up to the SHU or the older guy there that sits at the desk at the SHU and shows you where they are seated.

Yes they have both been wonderful, I think the guy that drives the bus part of the time is named Dave. Love Barb

Yep Dave rings a bell, they always seem to be smiling which makes a change as some of them look so damn unhappy
