EmploymentFinding post-incarceration employment can be an almost monumental task. Find tips, job offers and stories from those of us that have experienced it first hand.
Does anyone have any info on employers in the Phoenix metro area that hire felons? Not just any job, but good jobs. I have a wife and 2 kids to take care of and need a job bad! I made one mistake and feel like i am a leper when it comes to the job market. I am quite sure you all can understand.
Take a look at this site www.1stepcloser.net I just found it myself so I don't know alot about it. It's a local company that seems to understand that recidivism is directly linked to unemployment and homelessness. I'm currently trying to find a place the parole office will approve for my boyfriend to be released to but it seems impossible to find a decent place that isn't part of the crime free neighborhood program. I can't afford to buy a house but an approved address is the only thing standing in the way of his early release. Anybody got any suggestions for me? I'll keep you posted on 1 step closer.
