Wink Mail rules at Corcoran prison

I have a pen pal at Corcoran. I would like to know what that institutions mail room rules are. I would like to send him x amount of prestamped envelopes, the kind bought at the post office not the kind I put on. I would also like to already have his return address put on the envelope. WOuld leave the sent to area blank, that way he can use the envelopes to write to whom ever he likes. Would also like to send paper (individual not note book).

Can I send this stuff, how many envelopes & paper can I send. Or is there a link that someone can send me to find the answers. Thanks loads.

You can usually send in 20 prestamped envelopes and 50 sheets of paper. I would really check with the prison before you send in return addressed envelopes the may not let them in. Love Barb

LadyDi - I have been sending stuff to the Corcoran mail room for awhile and usually it has worked quite well. BSS is right they will allow 20 prestamped envelopes per package. You can send notepads or loose paper. I have a friend who sends is 160 of those loose leaf paper like for school. The one thing you have to make sure that you package of paper goodies doesn't weight more than 2 pounds. I don't know about address lables, but if you preprinted the return address like through the printer, I don't think you would have any problems. I have sent tons of stuff and not had anything returned expect when I accidently forgot to cut the glue off of a cruise brochure (my mistake)!!! But definatley calling the mail room is always a good idea. Let me know if you need the number. They have always been super nice to me.
