Default Early Release From Parole

Does Anyone know if its possible to ask to get released from Parole earlier than scheduled? For example if I received 2 years of Parole I heard its possible to ask for your Parole to cease after doing a year or so. Does anyone know about this? Or what type of Paperwork you need to file?

don't count on it. I completed every requirement of parole and even being a first time offender they would not allow me to get off parole early, even with a recommendation from TASC.

I once knew a guy who was released in July of 2006 w/ 3 years of parole. His parole ended 6 months early. Why, I do not know. And he wasn't a first time offender.

So it can happen, I just don't know how often.

*Annnnnd I just responded to a thread that is 4 years old.

Currently the guidelines are:
Complete half of your parole term.
Have a verifiable source of income.
No new arrest.
Clean drug screens.
Completing PRB orders or recommended counseling.

The guideline also requires that there be no active warrants or orders of protection against the person being considered.

Lastly, there cannot be any convictions in the persons mitt for DUI, Violence, Weapons or Domestic Battery.

I met everyone of those requirements. Still would be released early. the biggest problem i had was getting ahold of my PO. I could leave a message and wouldn't hear back for 2 weeks. in 2 years of parole, he saw me a total of 3 times.

I realize each PO is different but after doing my time and my parole time without 1 single incident, I feel I have the right to say that the entire IDOC system is FUBAR'd. It is a complete joke.

I got off after 10 months on parole, due to getting a really good job and no new charges, and no issues while on house arrest for 120 days and not missing a single phone check in
