My Blanket



Cover me with your love.
Send your spirit to comfort me
and your heart to cover mine
like a glove.


Be my blanket in my dreams.
For each day is like a lifetime
and every year like an eternity,
or so it seems.


I, in turn, will be yours.
A warm haven to escape to
and forget the horrors
that you must now endure.

Wrap yourself in my softness.
Know that as much as I love
and believe in you now,
I could never love you less.
