Default PE/TE date

Okay, so I know this might be kind of a lame question.

The PE/TE date...What exactly is that? Is that the day they will be released or is it the day they are eligible for parole? I'm a little confused.

Thanks!

My boyfriend made parole 3 months before his PE/TE date and was released a little more than a month before it b/c he made the kickout so it doesn't necessarily mean they won't get out until after that date. It just depends.

That's true, they can get out early with the kickout, but it is still the date they are eligible for parole because that's the date they use to determine if they are within the time frame allowed for the kickout.
P/E means parole eligibility, T/E means transfer eligibility (basically the same thing)

Thanks! That helped a lot! Although his PE/TE date isn't until 2013.

What happens if they are still in county waiting to go to ADC and thier PE/TE date is already here??? He is in county and monday 3/26/2007 is his PE/TE date. He thinks he will go to dignostics and come right back home. But this is his 3rd time to prison since 1990 1st time 2002 last time and now this time and got 18 months for fleeing. please if anyone can tell me if he is near getting out please do. Thank you Renee

They typically don't get their PE/TE date assigned until they go to ADC so I'm a little confused as to how his date could already be here while he is still in the county. Where did that date come from?? Are you sure it's not an old date?

Sometimes when they are too crowded, the ADC pays the county to house "their" prisoner until they take him. don't count on him getting right out. The ADC looks very unfavorably on fleeing from parole. He may have to sit tight and start thinking about how to stay out next time.

My man has been gone for almost 2 weeks now (serving 7 months) and I was just trying to find out what exactly you all are referring to when you are mentioning "the kickout?"

Currently my honey is in the County but eventually he will go to diagnostics and then one of the adc prisons for the remainder of his sentence... what is "the kickout?" Please advise. Thanks!
