FLDOC - What You Need to KnowInformation relating to the Florida Department of Corrections. Q&A for those new to the FLDOC system should be posted here.
These are the updated canteen & clothing lists from Death Row at UCI in Raiford. I assume prices are the same or comparable at other institutions.
The following are the rules for ordering from both these lists. Again, this is for Death Row; keep in mind that the rules may vary.
Canteen - They are allowed to spend $65 once per week. Once the order is placed, it normally takes 2 days to receive the items.
Clothing - There is no monetary limit, but a quantity limit is imposed. They are allowed to order from this list on the first weeks of February, May, August & November. Once the order is placed, it normally takes 1½ - 2 months to receive.
Phew, the honey buns price didn't increase !!! Sewergrrl, did you see what's the difference with the previous lists ?? To me it's just like before.
Are those items more expensive than in regular store ?? How much are the New Balance sneakers in a regular shop ?? I know what I will buy when I go to the conference !!! I can't find New Balance sneakers for less than $120 in France !! I wonder if FLDOC would sell me 1 pair !!
Thanks for sharing. Prices didn't change that much I think. I could post the clothing list of a women facility as well if someone's interested, but it's in my other appartment now. Just let me know.

Oh gosh this is new !!!! Is it only for DR prisoners, or is it for all bad boys in Florida ??? 12" is small right ?? For a TV I mean !!! Isn't it a little bit expensive for a small BW TV ??
Anyway, since Joey is alone in a cell on CM1, I think a TV might be a nice X-mas gift !! Michelle, have you a way to check if it's only for DR prisoners ??
I just called UCI and FSP to inquire about televisions. Both places said the only inmates allowed to have televisions in their cells are death row inmates. I specifically asked about inmates on CM I status and I was told they aren't allowed to have a TV because they have a "community" room where they can watch TV.
WOW !!!! Thank you VERY MUCH for doing that for me !!! That's VERY SWEET of you, I really appreciate.
This is plain BS !!! Inmates on CM1, DON'T have a community room !!! They stay alone in their cells, and 3 times a week they go to rec for 1 or 2 hours, can't remember. The community room, which is called "day room" is for CM2 and CM3 inmates !!! That's why I thought the TV was a good idea !!
Anyway, thank you once again for calling FSP, you're a real cutie pie
LoL Sewergrrl, Jason sent me the EXACT stuff you just posted. I wrote back to him, I didnt know what half the stuff on there was. (Being a dumb aussie and all) I just thought that was funny. His TV blew up, so I sent some more $$$ for him to get a new one.
