EmploymentFinding post-incarceration employment can be an almost monumental task. Find tips, job offers and stories from those of us that have experienced it first hand.
I was released in Oct of 2002 and have yet to find a job because of my record. (Drug Charges) I was hired by Convergys (They do the customer service for Direct TV) I worked for 4 days and because of my record they escorted me off the premises. I did tell them about all of my convictions but they pulled up charges that were dropped and held those against me also. Anyway I am currently taking computer classes. I have put in sooooooo many applications I can't see straight. I have been drug free for almost 5 years and can't find a soul to give me a chance. Any suggestions?
Bless your heart, Cheryl! I'm in the SE part of the state and am now retired but I do have a few friends in the Metro area. I'll check with some of them and put a word in for ya and then email you if I come up with any positive results!
In the meantime, just keep on working at those computer classes Sweetie and don't give up! Okay?!
You will be in my good thoughts and prayers!
