GUESS WHAT EVERYBODY I GOT A CALL FROM M.C.I THE OTHER DAY SAYING THAT I OWE $88DOLLARS AND 29 CENTS SO THEY PUT A BLOCK ON THE LINE AND I CALLED MY PHONE COMPANY AND CHANGE MY LONG DISTANCE AND MY NUMBER TO. THEN I CALLED MY HUSBAND'S COUNCEL AND GAVE THEM MY NEW NUMBER SO MY HUSBAND CAN CALL ME AGAIN TO.

How do they do this? My bill is way over that amount, but I pay when I get the bill. Did they say you were late? Have you tried calling and getting the current contracted rate for collect institutional calls in your state to your home? When I did, they gave me a credit of $142.00. I hate MCI anyway, but I'll still stick with it a little longer...When my guy gets to his permanent spot, I plan on establishing a local phone number in the local area he is at. That way I'll forward it and only pay the normal local collect call fee!!! Hopefully it will be soon, because I love to talk to him and I'll have to get a second job, just to talk...(Hopefully not through...LOL!)

When Billy would call me from Oklahoma, they would block my phone BEFORE I got the bill. It wasn't MCI--it was something else. But I would have to pay so much money and call them back. I'd give them the receipt number over the phone and then they'd verify it. After that, they'd unblock the phone. They'll screw you any way they can. :argh

BEFORE I HAD ONE OF MY OLD NUMBERD I PAYED THEM 300 THEY TOLD ME THEY NEVER GOT ITAND THEN THEY WAIT SO THEY HIRED IT UP TO 600 THEN THEY SAID THEY WANT MORE!! SO I TOLD THEM TO SHOVE IT!!!!

They put the block on for only $88.00? Geez, my bill is $266.00. At least yours is lower.
