stepdad in prison

Hi everyone.
I am katie. I am 12 years old. My stepdaddy is getting sentenced to 5-15 years in prison for supposdly sexually abusing his ex-wifes daughters 4years ago. He is going to JCP a.K.a- Jackson Community Prison for5 days to 10 weeks. It is all depending on where they can find an open place.

I can barley cope with him going to Prison for something he didnt even do. Someone as nice as him doesnt deserve to go to prison. I wouldlike people to talk to. I know i always have my mom and family and friends. but i would like more people who is going through the same thing with there fathers or mothers or family members going into prison.

Hi Katie,
I am glad you found PTO. You will find lots of support here. I am sorry about your step-father. I know it is hard to think of him in prison, especially when he is innocent. Just know and believe that God is with him, and with you too, and your whole family. You will get through this as a family, with love and with God on your side.

HI Katie--I am sorry to hear everything you are going through. Keep close to God and he will help you through all this, and remember to always talk about your feelings!! My oldest daughter is 7 so I don't know if she if she can help you much but her dad has been in prison for almost 2 years now.......hang in there sweetie-things will get better!

Thank you for the support.. It means alot to me, Yes everyone is telling me 2 believe in god and that he is here for me. Sometimes i dont feel like he is there for me but i know that he is. We are getting alot of support from people wow 2 years huh? Whats he in for if you dont mine me asking?

Thanks again for the support and everything. Yes i know JESUS AND GOD is there for me sometimes they dont feel like it though!! Its nice to know there are more people to talk to about this. i know i have my mom family and friends but only 2 of my friends know. and i always have GOD himself but i just like having more people to talk to that is going through the same thing,

Zach pm'd you a few minutes ago. I knew that your mom and I had stuff in common.... This whole thing will be hard. Stay close to your mom and ask her any questions you have and share your feelings.... It's even harder when they didn't do what they got found guilty for.... I've found out that there are a lot of innocent people in prison. Others that are guilty are in for way too long and don't get much help.

You can write to your step dad. I know my husband loves when he gets letters from our kids.

Hello Katie, I am really sorry to hear about your pain. I'm 38 years old and I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with the fact my bestfriend and soulmate is away from me. I have a 13 year old whe misses her stepfather very much. But I just keep assuring her that we're are going to be okay. And so is he. Your stepdad might be away for a long time but know that he can still love you just as much as if he was still with you and your family. And you too so just try to keep his spirits up by writing alot and send a whole bunch of pictures and drawings. Keep your head up and stay strong

I know what you mean it is really hard for children as well as adults to cope with there loved ones being away. I would like to talk to you 13 year old daughter if she would like to. i am trying to find as many people to talk to about this as i can

I'm really sorry about your stepdad. Yo came to the right place though! You'll find lots of love and support here. You seem very mature for being only twelve--but I know that no matter how old you are, having a loved one in prison is devastating. Best wishes to you and yours!

thanks! acutlly it was my mom who found this website for me.yes i have already gotten alot of love and support from people.. How old are you?? like are u a kid or a teenager or adult.(thats all u have 2 say) LoL(laugh out loud)
yes alot of people say i act like im 2 mauture 2 be 12.

I don't think I would say too mature, because I think it's great that you have your head on straight and seem to have a handle on things. I commend you for that!

Hello. Yes my stepdad is complelty innocent 2. It seems like there is alot of innocent people in Jail and Prison these days. all the people who DONT deserve 2 be in is in, and all the people that do deserve to be in is out doing horrible stuff to US cute small kids.... how old are you Anna.
