Help Needed for Inmate at Pelican Bay

Yesterday I received a letter from my brother-in-law who is at Pelican Bay.
He was assaulted and the two individuals that did this to him are being charged with "attempted murder with use of force." He wants me to try and get him an attorney to protect his rights and get him the crime incident report, medical reports and pictures that were taken of him. I don't know
where to start. Can someone please guide me?
