New York Prison & Jail Visitation, Phones, Packages & MailTopics / Information relating to the New York Department of Corrections and local / county Jail visitation, phone calls, mail, inmate care packages, etc.
I know someone who's at Rikers and another person at the Manhattan House of Detention (The Tombs). I received two collect calls from the person at The Tombs and it was through Sprint. But now when he's tried to call me he said the call is blocked. I figured that I had to set up an account with Sprint. So I called them and they gave me the long distance plan (thankfully it's free) but I had to call another number to make sure my phone wasn't blocked from receiving collect calls. I called the number and they said there was no block, but the representative wasn't sure that her division dealt with the Manhattan House of Detention. I wonder if the House of Detention and Rikers are linked as far as collect call service. If they are then I need to call another number.
Does anyone know anything about this at all? Any help is appreciated.
BabyCuz, It would be a lot cheaper to put some money in their account and they can call you from that money. A 15 min. call is only $0.92 and I forgot how much a 6 minute call is but it's not much. Just a suggestion.
He's BAAACCCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life has never been better!
