The Legislative Assembly consists of a Senate and a House of Representatives. The Senate may consist of 40-54 members and the House may consist of 80-108 members, depending on the number of senatorial districts. As of 2005, the state is divided into 47 senatorial districts. Each district elects one Senator and two Representatives. Approximately one-half the members are elected to four-year terms every two years. Generally, members from odd-numbered districts were elected to four-year terms in 2002 and members from even-numbered districts were elected to four-year terms in 2004.

What country are you talking about ? US Senators are elected for a term of 6 years and there are two senators from each state(100 Senators in the Senate) House members are chosen by districts, the maximum number of members of the house is 435 members. each member is elected to a two year term If you want to talk about the USA . use correct information, if you are talking about another country state which country.
Senate election are staggered so that a third of the senate is up for election every two years
