Default children hurting without parent

we have 3 children and I work over 50 hours a week. i am a single mother trying to raise 3 children. One of them has been born since he has been away. He has been gone for awhile and our son dont even know his father and wont know him until he is 1 1/2 before he really gets to know his daddy. The other little one has been treated for depression because she wouldnt eat for 3 moths because she felt it was her fault that he daddy was gone she always said she was sorry. The oldest one can cope with it a little better but we all miss him a whole lot

Your not alone in how your kids are doing and coping... Does he call? Does he write? Let the kids draw him pictures and "write" and say "hi." It helps.... My kids have been in and out of counseling to help deal with it... Hang in there..

Deb

Smile Thanks Deb!

Thank you for your support. He does write but cannot call. Its harder because we are so far apart. When he was in KY it wasnt so bad now he is in Oh and I work and its hard to have the money and time to go see him. The kids write and send him pictures but all they want is their daddy. I really appreciate the support! Thanks again!

I can relate to what you are going through totally--my kids are 7,6,4,3, and 2...my 4 year old didnt eat for a while after Stephen left and would just lie around sucking her thumb---visits helped and I send them little presents and tell them that Stephen sent them to them, so they know that daddy is always thinking of them....our youngest was 9 months old when he went in and now he is 2 it is hard to see that he gets so happy when we go to visit and then cries for daddy the way home...but kids are tougher than we think too, just being open with them and letting them know that they can talk to you whneever about any feelings helps alot---my kids kow that if they are feeling bad all they have to say is ma we need to talk and I will drop everything and we go someplace quiet and talk.....your family is in my prayers, hang in there...let me know if I can ever help you with anything!

Default Thanks Amelia

I just wanted to say thanks and that I really helps to know that there is other people out there just like me. Also they know exactly what I am going through. My children mean alot to me and it hurts me to see them so unhappy. I still cry for them and for myself. I know its been 11 months but I still cry everyday. I watch my 4 year old every nite before she goes to bed and she always ask jesus to bring her daddy home. I really appreciate the support. Thank you again and my prays are with you and so are my hugs!

This is so sad, because our kids are so sad without them, my son went through and still is going through depression, not eating, distracted and he hasn't even been home since Wednesday, July 30, he's been at my mom's because he doesn't like to be home, to many memories of daddy...
