Ordering books

I know we can order books from like amazon.com but what about the independent web sites. does anyone think we can order books from those websites for our guys?

I think that we can but I would call the mail room to make sure. When I called they said that we could order them from any bookstore we wanted to but they always seem to find a reason to refuse items....

Call the mail room and ask. I use Barnes and Noble on line and have nver had a problem with them getting there. My husband is at Avenal and that s what I did.

Zunigan, have you ever used Amazon.com, I do everytime (to Avenal) and there no more the .50 per book. The shipping about 3.99

No I have never used Amazon.com only Barnes & Noble.

i use amazon and they have been good the books i send always get deliverd

I called the mail room at CCC before and they said they accept books from the major companies, Amazon, borders, Barnes and Noble, B Dalton. When My friend was at HDSP I sent him a book from a small independent publisher, but it was a publisher who prints correctional material, it was a book my husband recommended called "99 days and a get up" about getting released from prison. The prison allowed those books in just fine too. I think it depends on the mail room at the prison, but you are almost always safe with the big companies.

I go to this local bookstore and they send books to my husband....they get delivered just fine...
