Hi lisalisa,

Since you had some specific visitation questions for Corcoran, I have moved this thread to the California forum on PTO so your post will have the opportunity to get more specific responses and the best answers to your questions... I’ve found they often get more and better answers there, AND the information will be here to help others in the future, too.

You also might want to thumb thru the California forum to see if some of your questions have already been answered in the past... the direct link to the forum is here:

Hope you find the info you're looking for and good luck!

Lys

The easiest way to get there is take the 5-N to the 99 North and then you have several options. I like to go through Delano and make a left, follow through to the 43 N and then Corcoran is about 30 minutes up. You will see the signs. It is not the first prison, it is the second.

There visit guidelines have become much less strict lately, but they are pretty by the book. You can only wear one piece of each type of jewelry (i.e. 1 ring, 1 braclet, 1 set of ear rings). Of course no demin, no blue clothes, no green clothes, you can't wear all red or anything with a professional team logo, you can't wear tan. BUT you can wear black jeans, sleeveless shirts as long as they are as fat a a lasagne noodle, and open back shoes. Feel free to ask me any specific questions you might have.

Visiting is on Thursday to Sunday from 8:00 to 2:30. Depending on which yard you are visiting on, some of them terminate and some never get full. Let me know where your loved one is and I will share my knowledge.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you want to know anything else that I might be able to share.
