I have no idea! They picked my husband up in the middle of the night, so he literally had just the clothes on his back and honestly, I never even thought about picking them up!

Can you call the jail and ask someone - maybe he's got to actually sign a release or something on that type of property

Everything that Ive ever picked up for ppl in county (which have been a lot of ppl .. lol) ... They had to sign a release form before hand on personal belongings.

The police dept that I work for wont release anything but clothes cuz we only use our cells as holding cells ... once we move them to the county jail and they fill out the form you should be good to go. I would call down and talk to the ppl in Book In and find out whats going on.

better get it quick. I know in Galv and Harris Counties, they only release such things as jewlery, wallets, phones. they keep the clothes and shoes to give to inmates when released from prison. No tellin whos stuff he'll get. I went every day for a week trying to get my son's stuff. They usually kept me waiting at least 2 hours till I would have to leave to go to work. They had every excuse in the book. I never got his things before he was shipped and he said they threw everyting besides clothing in the trash. Wallet, phone and his 200.00 dollar necklace. Im sure someone ended up w/ it later. When my nephew was released this year they gave him Lime green stretch pants and a Hawiaan shirt to wear. He is a big guy and he said it didin't even fit him. He went to the nearest Goodwuill and got something. He said those clothes were just a fight waiting to happen.

Once he gets transferred to a unit they should give him the paper to fill out and send to you to release his belongings. If he doesn't get it he has to put in a request for one. My friend has put in several requests and after 30 days from they day they get transferred out of county if his things aren't picked up they are GONE! So my friends stuff is all gone...he never got his form and he lost his stuff that was in county! GOOD LUCK!!
