Health Insurance For your Children?

Here is a link for Medical Insurance for your Children. Even if you are working and have a job w/o Health Insurance you most likely will qualify. It is for Kids only. When you get to the site there is a drop down and find your State. My State is Arkansas, I get UI benefits cause I was terminated, No FS, Cash Aide. But my Children qualified. I will still have a co-pay of $10-15 as with the old employer HMO. We still will use the same Doctors as they did before.
My state had the application on the web to be printed and then mailed. It took them less than three weeks to get it done.
Hope this helps some other single parents trying to make ends meet. If I had to use the COBRA, it wold cost me over $500.00/mo. Out of pocket to the place that fired me! I dont think so..

I have it through Child Health Plus in NY. When I was working full time, I paid twenty per paycheck for insurance, $20 copayment for the visit, and $20 per prescription. It could cost me $100 to see the doctor. Now I pay nothing and have no copayment. It's great and it's through a regular insurance company not medicaid

I have Hawki here in iowa, which is listed on the website above. I is free for us because of our income they say. Even if we were rich and made lots of money the most we would pay would be $20.00 a month. It is blue cross insurance so just about every doctor takes it. Im very greatful for it. Any child under 19 years of age can have it here in iowa. I know it is a lot better then paying mega bucks to go thru private insurance agent. Since my husband is a private contractor we dont have insurance but at least my daughter Emma Leigh does! I would recommend it to anyone. Even if you have insurance through your work or not it is still cheaper for better coverage.

I have medical assistance for mine. I have no co-pay, but they do require you to cooperate with child support recovery. If you are married and plan to stay together once your loved one comes home, they put a zero dollar support payment. They will reevaluate 30 days after they come home to ensure they are back in the household and if they are there is no court ordered support (but you will probably no longer qualify for the insurance). If not, they will then assess a child support order based on past and probable income.

I'm raising my son's daughter in Texas. She qualifies for Medicaid regardless of my income(which is too high) because she is not my child.

In RI, ther is RIte Care or RIte Share( if you are employed). Based on income, they re-imburse me for what work takes out on a monthly basis..now minus a $61/month co-pay,but that covers all office visits and meds...
There is also help for Daycare payments

This is for Michigan's low cost/no cost program for Medicaid for kids (MIChild). I was just approved for this for my 16-yr-old son. He gets free medical, prescriptions, etc. Hope this helps someone.

I have a question. I just recently got approved for medicaid and they sent me a health care choice comparison chart between ANTHEM BCPC PP and HEALTH PLAN OF NEVEDA SMART CHOICE. They are are asking me to choose one. I just wanted to know from your experience which one is better?
