special package question????

My man is at KVSP, and he is telling me that he can receive tennis shoes as a special package. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so who is the vendor. Also does anyone know if ACCESS is an approved vendor for KVSP?

AccessSecurePak is an approved vendor for KVSP. However, tennis shoes ARE NOT allowed to be sent as a special package. (But, some prisons may make an acception. I suggest calling KVSP and ask to be transferred to the R&R department. Ask a staff member there if tennis shoes are allowed in a special package.) The shoes can be sent in a quarterly package though. The only items that can be sent "special" are electronics and the items listed below.

Special Packages:

Special Packages allow for the purchase of Electronics, Accessories, Musical Instruments, Under Garments and Clothing, Correspondence Courses, Legal Material and Faith Based Items. That would otherwise crowd a quarterly package beyond its allowed weight or dimensions. There is no limit to the amount of special packages allowed in a calendar year.
