need some info about telephone services

does any one know what phone company does less expensive collect calls from prison?

There are some services that can help, but it really depends on your calling patterns and needs.

well all prisons go through MCI< but what I did is i live in 714 he calls me from Corcoran which is 559. I set up a remote phone number through SBC since they are my primary carrier, so they set up a 559# that he calls , that number forwards to my house phone , which is forwarded to my cell phone, the calls are like $3.75. I have yet to get contacted by MCI to set up a pre pay account, but its cause he only calls once a week , or twice the most.
