4th of July Picnic at Work Release

Call the DOC and find out what is going on and if you can get things taken care of!!

I was wondering if anyone here has ever attended any event that they have for inmates on work release? My man has invited me to a picnic the place he is staying at is having tomorrow. He is at North Lawndale ATC which is a work release place. I keep asking him what to expect, but he has only been there 7 days so he says he doesn't know. He does know that there is a barbeque. And oh how wonderful does that sound? A barbeque from a place that is almost just like a prison. I bet the food is great. But just to be with him is worth going. I am really excited, but the small problem that I need your help with is that while my man was at Stateville Farm, I went with his boy and best friend to visit him. Well when we got to Statesville they wanted to search his boy's car and found a roach and pipe in dudes car. Well luckly we all just got to go home, but we also all got banned for 6 months from ever going to a Correctional Facility in Illinois. I keep asking my man if I am going to be able to go tomorrow and he just says he doesn't know but it is worth trying. I am scared that if they do let me in and I get caught what would happen? I dont even think they will let me in. Please help with anything anyone knows about being banned. I have already wrote a letter to Springfield asking to remove the ban since nothing was found on me, just the driver. No response from them yet. Sorry to babble on. Thanks for listening.

well, if it doesn't put you out too much go and find out. the worst they can say is no. who knows.....on top of that? SHAME on you! what were you thinking? we had a couple that got arrested for having GUNS in their trunk! at least it wasn't that!

Me and the other passenger had no idea he had anything on him, or trust me we would of driven in a seperate. Lucikly I am drug free, and have never done a drug, so the worst part is I got in trouble and can't see my man anymore for something that I don't even do. Believe me to go back in time would be a blessing right now.
