sending supplies to DVI

ok ive seen a couple differnet things on what you can send,, i get the 20 envelopes, atamps writing tablets.. but is it 2 pens and 2 pencils? someone else said like 5, and in original packaging?? i cant find TWO clear bic pens,, they only sell them in pachages of like 7-10-20 etc,, so if i send them loose in the manila envelope with the other stuff will he still get them??? and pencils too? they dont COME in packs of two??!

you can send 20 envelopes up to 200 sheets of paper 20 stamps and 2 clear pens or 2 unsharpened pencils. get a larger pack of pens and pull out 2. put them in a manila envelope

I bought a big pack and just pulled out two and put them in the large manilla envelope with the paper and envelopes,they got through fine

Yes, they will accept two pens, loose in an envelope as long as they are completely clear. They can't have any rubber grips or anything like that. If the pen looks questionable they will just toss it.

Also, some stores sell Bic pens in packs of two. Like Walgreens. They are usually up at the check stand by the candy and breath mints.

I lost the list DVI sent me, but if you send something they can't have--like about ten sheets of blank white paper--along with a small letter "knowing they are going to send it back because of the letter or like a kids drawing "they cant be sent any art" they will send you back the letter with a big list of what he can't have and what he can have it includes the quantities too. I believe each prison is different so each list would be different.
