Misquoted, misunderstood
for as long as I can remember
But you persevered and stayed true
from January to December
Of course they are going to pass judgement
and point fingers whenever they can
Not everyone can understand the troubles
and struggles of a young black man
But above and throughout
the sun always shined on you
Allah understood and you kept on
doing your think, for you knew this to be true.
You always wondered if there was

Hopefully your journey to the afterlife
