Question Sending Mail to other prisoners

My son sent me a letter with two other letters for me to send on to other inmates. The mail room kept them and now my son is in trouble. Has this happened to anyone else's son and if so can you tell me what punishment he got?

Thank you

I think they can if they have it approved by both wardens at both facilities.

They might get a 128 or a 115 for doing it but ususally the punisment isn't that big, unless he was talking aboutcommitting some major crimes in the letter. I know people that do it all the time and never get caught and then others who always get caught, it just depends on the mood and alertness of the officer.

Inmates are allowed to write to each other, but both of them need to get it approved by their respective institutions--there's a form they each need to fill out and get approved.
