My boyfriend was there for 45 days and then got transferred. Visitation is from 5-9p.m monday-friday and from 8-11 am and 5-9 p.m on sat and sun. I strongly suggest getting there no later than 8 p.m Sometimes the lines are long and sometimes they aren't. I always went right at 7:30 to 8 p.m. I always found it the most quiet then. What floor is he on? That makes a difference, too. The inmates are treated pretty well for the most part. How old is he? Depending on his age...he will either be in a tank with young guys or older. The young ones are anywhere between 16 and I think 24. Luckily, Josh is 26 so he was in the older tank. The young cell is really loud and always fighting. He can make phone calls until 10 or so but if he's a trustee on the 3rd floor...he can make them again at 3 or 4am b/c that's when they go to work. I always wore jeans and a cute top. It was cold then, but I still wore somewhat low cut shirts...and never got turned away. Nothing spaghetti strap or mid-driff baring. BIG ADVICE...be very courteous and talkative with the officers downstairs. By the end of a week...they knew my name and joked around with me. That makes it very easy on us AND on our men on the inside. Visit him often...it looks good when they review him and always dress nicely...they like to see that every now and then. There's a lot more info. I can give you more advice seeing how that was my home away from home...so message me with any questions. Good luck!

711 is on the side of the 701 building---it holds less people so it is much quieter visiting. bur you still have the plexiglas to deal with!!!

I cannot stand any jail in Texas. It is the worst! Just pray for the best. My son has been there for 10 months now.

If he's in a Harris County jail, just go to this website and fill out his first and last name. http://apps.jims.hctx.net/sopublic/

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!
