Default Hawaii Division of Corrections - Inmate Locator Info (Very Little) - UPDATED

There is still no state inmate information on any Hawaii sites - in departments under "Corrections" they now link to the Hawaii State Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention & Justice Assistance Division. There is little info there, no online database for inmate search, and really very little information at all for contact info for the department. After some sifting thru terrible web pages I did manage to find this address and these phone numbers:

Crime Prevention & Justice Assistance Division
Department of the Attorney General
235 South Beretania Street, Suite 401
Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 U.S.A.

TELEPHONE: 808.586.1150
FAX: 808.586.1373

Just to let PTO members know that Hawaii has updated their inmate locator in the Federal Bureau of Prison Registry.on the internet. It's new, but you can locate anyone incarcerated at the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu. This facility is a holding unit for pretrial detainees. My fiance is there now. He went back to state on a parole retake, and a federal detainer was put on him with new charges. The state has no 3 strikes law, but the Feds do, and that is what he is looking at right now. Anyway, I'm trying to stay strong, because I have to, not only for myself but for him too. I love him alot and I'm here to support him through this. Aloha, Kaleilehua.

Thanks Kaleilehua... yes, we have the link to the Federal system posted several places and their locator system is a prime example of a good locator. If you ever find Hawaii has added an online locator for their state system (or any good information on their site as far as locating inmates in the state system) please post it here, thanks...
