Default What Banks Do Ya'll Have?

Hey guys, since I'm planning on moving out there, I was wondering what banks ya'll have out there? I'd like to open one that has a branch here in Cali and out there as well. But I don't know what is possible.

National City, 5th/ 3rd, Bank One, PNC
I have a credit union so I don't pay too much attention to the other ones.

Try U.S. bank I know that we have those in Cali I bank at this bank and I work there. If you need to know where some are in your area you can go to www.usbank.com and I believe that they can tell you where some are in your area. Hope this helps and good luck.

Sam, probably in 2007 but I'm trying to get things in order now because it'll be easier.

Inlove, THANK YOU for that list! We have USbank and 1st National here...I'm looking to move to the Toledo area. I just need to get an account set up at some bank like within 30 miles to start so I can pay my rent and security deposit and then I'll find a bank closer to where I am.

That's good to hear you found what you want.

When I moved to LA from Ohio in 1991 I didn't know my options so I had to open an account here in LA then have all my money transfered here and guess what, my atm card didn't work and I didn't know so when I went back to Ohio (Bowling Green) to go get my stuff at my sister and brother's apartment, all I had was $20 on me. Thank god they fed me and stuff and when I came back to LA all I had was $5 in cash on me.
Make sure everything is cleared so you don't end up like me!!
Toledo is great. Love that city. I love Ohio.

What part of Ohio are you looking at moving too? Southern Ohio has different banks than northern does.. but with you moving in a year from now, several of the different bank chains are being bought out. So by the time that you actually do move out here, several of the bank chains like bank of America and chase will be here. Also, I do online banking and direct deposit and that works wonderfully for me. I use a bank out of Florida too.

But we don't have that bank here, I need a bank that I can go to here, AND there. I looked up US Bank and there's one 30 miles away, to just get done what I need to do to get set up there, that isn't bad.

that's fine! I just need a bank that I can transfer my money to and get them to give me a money order to pay my deposit when I FIRST move there, then I will find a bank closer by.

Again... what part of Ohio are you moving too??? The banks differ between area.. if you are south of Colubus, the Bank of America is there and I know for a fact that they have them in Cali. If you are up north, you chances of finding a bank that is in the West is going to be hard. Most of the major california banks are not in Ohio yet.
