Magazine subscriptions

Can I order magazines for him (thinking of a tattoo one) and have them sent to PB if they are sent straight from the manufactor? Thought that would be a nice suprise.....

Yes you can but it might be a good idea if you ask him which one he wants. I know that won't be a suprise but he may already have the one you pick out. I send Richard Arizona Highways because the pictures are so great and he can use them in his drawings. Love Barbara

Also, they have recently decided to censor what the men can have in the way of magazines. They now confiscate pretty much anything with naked women in it, which includes some of the motorcycle magazines, etc. So before you send one, take a look at it in a magazine shop so you won't be wasting your money.

there is a compnay out there called tightwad and you can get magazine subscriptions for $5.00 for the whole year.

regarding magazine subscriptions, my friend, Walter, send me a form, which he'd marked in advance, of a few magazines he'd like to have. it's from a place simply called Discount Magazine Subscription Service, Inc. it's a pretty good deal, all magazines are 50% off the usual price. the website link is: discountmagonline.com, or you can write them at: discountmagazine@yahoo.com. you can order on line or by regular mail. seems like a fairly decent deal to me, we've been using it almost 2 years now.

yeah, i got a letter from Walter just today. he says there was a guard was stabbed in the neck 2 weeks ago, and last sunday a guy as beat up in his cell, which he says sparked more trouble. he says they put everyone in " lock down." the letter is dated feb 5th, and he says the alarm went off that morning because of yet another fight. his words, " it's been rockin' in this camp, and is probably gonna get worse." hope he's watching his back, i'd sure hate for anything to happen to him. he DID say though, the mail seems to be moving a little better now, instead of 30 days, it's only taking about 20 for my mail to get to him.

I currently have about 10 magazines subscriptions going to my brother who is in the SHU. For the last 2 months he wasn't getting his Newsweek or US news and World Report. So I called the publisher and they said that they had been notified of an address change. Well I didn't change it and my brother didn't change so someone else in there did. Anyway they credited or extended his subscription for an additional 2 months which was cool. But On the subsriptions make sure you put their housing info on it. It gets to them faster.

As for the content of the mags in the SHU for sure no nudity which includes nipples through thin bikini tops or shirts. That is just them being assholes if you ask me. It won't be long before they try to cut out any mags with women in it period. Just more sensory deprivation.

I'm had problems with my guy getting his magazines at the gym,I just ordered more now that he will be in the SHU (supposedly by March 1 from ad seg) hopefully he will get these with no problems!
He hasn't said anything about the fights or riots but he is in Ad Seg so he may not know much about them

My friend told me about getting him a subsription to Tight Wad. If you send them 15 stamps with the imates name address and magazine he wants they will send it to them for a year. For anyone interested the address is Tigtwad Magazines P.O. Box 1941 Buford, GA. 30515. I am not sure what all magazines they do. My friend asked for Mens Fittness. So I know they have that one.
