I was just wondering what the visiting process is like at mule creek, I use to visit lancaster and I would have to be there by at least 5am just to wait in a line of cars to get into the gate at 8 then wait at the gate so the c/o can let the first 60 people to be processed in. I would finally get into the visiting room by 9 only if I didn't have to change something or another. How long are we given to visit? Do we get the whole 9-3? Are you allowed to wear black jeans? I hear mule creek is not one of the worst out of all prisons, its pretty lieneant, how true is that? Also one more question, do you have to call and schedule a visit or just show up? Thanks for any and all info. I just hate starting at a new prison and having to learn their dos and don'ts.
i have only been to mule creek once and i have answered these same questions in another post. if you type in mule creek you will be able to locate all other info on here and it will answer all your questions. The question about wether you need to make an appointment depends on wether or not he is non contact.
Black jeans are ok. The staff there is pretty cool as staff goes. I NEVER went in early like that. Saturdays are so busy that the first people in only get 2 hours before they move them out to let others in. Personally, I went in at about 10, processing was past the rush, usually and I seldom got terminated. But the food sucks major league. I only went a few times before I got family visits. I'm sure Diane or someone with more experience will be along soon!
