I am not real sure how to get there. But I do suggest calling before hand to make sure they are not on lockdown. My aunt came here from St LOuis last week ONLY to get turned around. She was coming to visit my cousin whom I have never met. It was really sad and such a wasted trip.

Take the Greyhound from Downtown LA ( there is a bus that leaves at 10 pm Friday night and it get's to Sac early saturday morning) to Sacramento and then from Sacramento to Rancho Cordova. The Welcome House at the prison will pick you up from the Greyhound Station @ Rancho Cordova around 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. All you have to do is call them a week in advance and tell them you need a ride. The Welcome House number is (916) 985-2372. If you need to cancel, make sure to call. They also pick up visitors from the Motel 6 and Inns of America and the local train station.

If you need more info, feel free to PM me.

Hi.... There is a new family transportation service that opened in
the L.A. area. There are no transfers..They go directly to the facility.
They are a twenty year old company that also operates in Texas,
New York, and Florids..They really understand the needs of there riders.
They also supply free breakfast and beverages.. They are hands down
the most cost effective way to travell
there toll free number is 1-877-9-prison
